Restoration of an early 20th century Transition-style inlaid dresser in rosewood.

The marquetry on this dresser had been covered by a sealing varnish, something very difficult, even impossible to remove without pulling up the underlying veneer. In fact, strippers are useless in this specific case.

The painstaking work accomplished, I fine sanded the entire piece, revived the tint and finished with a traditional sponge-applied varnish.
