KNOW-HOW

Traditional cabinet-maker specializing in marquetry

In 1973 I entered the Fine Arts School of Nancy, department of Applied Arts, where I familiarised myself with colour, perspective, decorative projects and creation (furnishings and interior fittings). At the same time, I did an apprenticeship in a workshop putting into practice these projects with teachers who had worked for Vallin/ Gallé / Majorelle, cabinetmakers and pioneers in Art Nouveau (Modern Style). I left with a diploma in Interior Decoration and Fittings.

Then 3 more years with traditional cabinetmakers under the aegis of the SEMA (Society for the Promotion of Arts and Crafts). Plus different advanced courses in marquetry and French polish with different professionals and professors. In 1980 I set up a workshop in Avignon.
