Here I restored a Louis XV slant top desk on which the kingwood and rosewood veneer was very warn, even inexistent, in certain spots, and for which it was necessary to reconstitute the cutouts (on the sides notably).

I redid all the veneer, including on the inner parts with its drawers and secrets, the two sides of the flap (replacing the leather) as wall as the drawers in the lower part of the furniture.

I remedied the tint and aged the replaced veneer after discolouration, to finish off with a traditional sponge varnishing of the entire piece.

The elegance of this small desk justified, for the client, a restoration of such importance.
