Dutch cylinder writing desk richly decorated with a floral marquetry on all its components.
Opening the cylinder top gives access to the inner part full of many drawers forming secret compartments as well as a central curtain framed by columns that hides another decorated drawer.
Once open, It is then possible to use the two knobs to draw out the desktop, also richly decorated with floral marquetry in boxwood and other wood that has been shaded and tinted green.
This piece of furniture can be separated into two parts, which allowed me access to the mechanisms that had to be put back into working order.
I did the customary restorations and a sponge-applied varnish as a finish for this stately piece of decorative furniture.
