This is an old component desk composed of three distinct parts: the base with its drawers, the cylinder and its extendable writing top covered in leather and its shelf enclosed by two glass doors.
The functioning of the cylinder is primordial to this component desk .
The right-hand drawer had to be remade and the badly-restored façade (incompatible veneer) had to be redone (mahogany framework and back panel).
After cleaning it, I restored all the mahogany veneer and the moulded brass frames.
I finished with a tint and a waxed pore filler over the entire piece.
Although the leather on the desktop was deteriorated I did not replace it because it bears, on the upper left corner, a family mark engraved with fine gold.
