This amazing armchair with its sculptures in a rococo style was completely in pieces when it arrived in my workshop. The back part, with its left leg shattered at the joint connection, no longer supported the structure. The restoration of the whole base necessitated several grafts and just as much glueing, which turned out to be a rather delicate operation, the goal being that it regains its function without collapsing!
The wax varnish patina highlights the sculpture covering the whole chair.
